News Flash: Rice University Create Cables Made Of Nanowires That Could Replace Copper Wires.
Popular Science (9/8, Boyle) reports, "Cables made out of nanowires could be just as efficient as the copper cables we've been using for more than a century, but at a fraction of the weight, according to a new paper. Braiding billions of carbon nanotubes into a nanowire cable can efficiently replace copper in a light bulb circuit."

The Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute proposal for the "BIE-Argonne National Lab. Indian Education Renewable Energy Challenge" has been accepted. Our proposal was among the five top proposals invited for the phase II of the competitions. Our institution will receive $3,500 to support the work of our students as they complete the project. Now, we are going to go for the final competition and the National Championship for the second year in a row !!
