SCME Breaks 222k Unique Educational Material Downloads through April 2016!
We have seen continuous growth in the number of educational materials downloads per month. These numbers have been corrected for redundant downloads. This is coupled with the trend of increasing unique web visitors and download bandwidth graphs below. Make sure you scroll down to see a complete picture of our website impact.
Over 41,100 individual IP addresses (unique visitors) have downloaded our materials since 2009, here is a map showing where they are located. Note: IP addresses usually get you within 5-10 miles of the actual location. Feel free to "play" with the map, zoom in in your region.
You can make your own maps easily at http://www.openheatmap.com/ an open source site.
Web Statistics - Unique visits only (robots, worms etc. are not included) - platueing around 5k unique visitors/month average in 2015. Note: Summer is usually slower that the rest of the year.
A unique visitor is a person or computer (host) that has made at least 1 hit on 1 page of the web site during the period of the report (by month). If this user makes several visits during this period, it is counted only once. Visitors are tracked by IP address, so if multiple users are accessing the site from the same IP (such as a home or office network), they will be counted as a single unique visitor. Note, a unique visitor typically visists the site twice in any given month. There are about 4000 unique visitors per month to the SCME website.
The following chart is a new quality metric for SCME - "Downloads per Unique Visitor" - what this means is that each unique visitor finds more value on the SCME Website, downloading more material. On average, a person coming to the SCME website finds 1 or 2 useful documents to download.
