SCME would like to congratulate our collaborator, Dr. Nader Vadiee, on his remarkable achievement!  Read on and then click here to see: What UNM has to say!

It gives me great pleasure to share some wonderful news:

"The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education have named Dr. Nader Vadiee at Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute the 2009 New Mexico Professor of the Year. Dr. Vadiee was selected from more than 300 top professors in the United States."

Dr. Vadiee is currently in DC to accept this prestigious award.  This would not have been possible unless each of you took the time to write a letter supporting his nomination. Thank you for ensuring that Nader receives national recognition for all he does to help all students, especially Native American students reach their potential. It is exciting to think about what contributions these students will go on to make.

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Vadiee; again thank you for the part you played in making this a reality.

Valerie Montoya, Vice President of Academic Programs Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute
