This learning module contains instructional material as well as activities and assessments that allow instructors and students to learn more about micropumps - their applications and operations, and pumps in general. This material includes topics and activities on the applications of macro and micropumps, how they work, and the different types of pumps used in microtechnologies.
This Micropump Overview allows you to explore a variety of applications of micropumps in various fields. This unit discusses the different types of pumps in both the macro and micro scales, as well as the differences and similarities between mechanical and non-mechanical pumps, the differences between these pumps in different scales, and their applications in different scales.
